History

Our Vocational School; With the decision of the Higher Education Council dated 07.05.1990 and numbered 2194, it was separated from Elazığ Vocational School and named as "Fırat University Vocational School of Health Services" and started to serve with Nursing associate degree program in 1990-1991 academic year. In 1992-1993 academic year, Midwifery, Anesthesia, Radiology, Medical Laboratory and Medical Documentation and Secretarial programs were opened and these programs continued their education by taking students. In the 1997-1998 academic year, Midwifery and Nursing programs were incorporated into Elazığ School of Health and separated from the Vocational School of Health Services. In the 2009-2010 academic year, Autopsy Assistant and in the 2010-2011 academic year, Physiotherapy programs and the second education of Medical Imaging, Medical Laboratory and Medical Documentation and Secretariat departments were implemented and the Audiometry program was opened in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Our Vocational School moved to its new building in the Rectorate Campus in February 2012 after serving for 21 years in the Geological Engineering building in the Faculty of Engineering Campus.
